Frequently Asked Questions
Why do we require our clients to sign an agreement/ waiver?
We do feel that we are partners in your dog’s care. As partners, it’s important to be clear on what each can expects and rely on from the other. We require that our clients read and sign agreements to ensure that for all parties participating in any of our services we clarify expectations and transparent about protocols and accountability.
we require that dogs come into our facilities in a stat of health that does not put your dog or our other doggy guests at risk. That your dog must be free of any pain or injuries that may be inflamed or irritated by training (must be in a good health condition, so your dog can fully learn comfortably and have fun in our facility). Also, free any of the following symptoms for 24 hours prior to any visit: Green or yellow discharge from nose and eyes, any diarrhea, unusual coughing or sneezing, vomiting, and free of ticks, flea’s, and worms to the best of your knowledge.
NEVER allow your dog to wander around the property OFF-LEASH. Even for a quick potty time, drop off or pick up time. Requires you to leash your dog for safety for you, your dog and others as any scenarios can happen in any seconds that can lead to serious injuries or life-threatening.
Any appointment sessions are reserved in advance & spaces are not held until a required of 30$ deposit (etransfer-pawzontherapy@hotmail.com) to reserve your spot. At the session we also required a payment (minuse the deposit) before the appointment start to secure your spot.
As we have saved your spot, just for you, we require 24 hours notice before your appointment to provide a credit back of your deposit for any cancellation classes or sessions. (
deposit will not be returned after 24 hours notice).
By signing the waiver, our clients understands and giving consent to our facility to the right to take pictures, recordings, and comments and use by posting on our website’s and our social media on PawZ on Therapy. As the doggy parents can see their dog in action in our facility.
If your dog is agressive, we asked the clients to contact a reactivity specialist. We do not practice on any massage or red light/ Cold laser therapy with aggression dogs for our safety as we do need to protect ourselves for any injuries for future services.
Generally, we are seeing reactivity when the dog is barking, growling or lunging at strangers, or other dogs, or other household or the environment for our training classes.
What training methods do we use?
Training should be fun and rewarding for both sides of the leash by strengthening the bonds between you and your doggy. we use play-based training methods that include positive reinforcement, food, games, stimulations, enrichments and never use “ corrections “, or any methods that leads to fear or pain to your dog. As every dog is unique, we don’t rely on any one methods or training tools we work closely with you by getting to know your dog and customize a plan for the needs of your dog.
What to do before a massage session start?
we recommend to have your dog to do their potty time before the session start and if your dog is experiencing some zoomiez or tend to be more excited then usual we highly recommend to exercise your dog before coming to the appointment (ex: walk)
What to do after the session and why do my dog drink so much?
give fresh water for your dog to re-hydrate.
Fresh water is always available at PawZ on Therapy. After the session is important for your dog to drink lots of water to do some re-hydration. Massage can be dehydrating. The manipulation of muscles can deplete them of water. By drinking water, you can rehydrate your muscles for the same reason you’d drink water after exercise and other forms of exertion because when the muscles are worked, they can lose water and electrolytes, and so many more.
